Escape artist Jonathan Goodwin was hurt while practicing for a segment on “America’s Got Talent Extreme,” the television program said Friday.

” During rehearsals for “America’s Got Talent: Extreme,” an accident occurred where escape artist Jonathan Goodwin was performing his act,” a spokesperson said.

“He responded quickly and was taken to the hospital, where he continues to receive medical treatment. We send our thoughts and prayers to him and his family while we wait for further information. “

“America’s Got Talent,” a reality talent show, was created by Simon Cowell in 2006 and has broadcast for 16 seasons on NBC.

“America’s Got Talent Extreme” was a spinoff of the original show that was being produced at the time Goodwin’s accident. NBCUniversal is the parent company of NBC News.
