A child pornography case was brought against an assistant House of Representatives Sergeant of Arms, according to Fairfax County police.
Stefan Bieret 41, was taken into custody Wednesday by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC), contacted authorities regarding a “potentially illegal image being uploaded to Dropbox account,” according a police release ..
Detectives performed a search warrant for the Dropbox account, and found that it belonged a Fairfax County resident. According to the Fairfax County Police Department, additional images that contained child sexual abuse material were also found in the Dropbox account.
” Detectives were able to identify the Dropbox account owner through subsequent search warrants,” the press release stated. Detectives executed a search warrant at his house and found multiple electronic items. “
Bieret faced 10 charges of possessing child pornography. According to police, he was taken to the county adult jail and held without bond.
Burke can be found approximately 20 miles away from Washington, D.C .
